John Hewick is a seasoned stylist. Like many of his collegues he was trained directly by and worked for some of the top industry leaders for John Paul Mitchell Systems, including the past and current artistic directors. John has an attention to detail and precision in his cuts. He enjoys crafting bobs and shorter women’s hair styles for this reason, but also has an affinity for long layered cuts, working with curls, and sexy voluminous blowouts. John has a minimalist approach to highlighting, with selective color placement using fewer but well thought-out foils for a natural looking result. Conversely he enjoys creative color, ombré, and balayage techniques for more fashion forward looks as well. John also has a large male clientelle and brings the same meticulousness to his men’s styles.

John has a skilled talent/background of photography and graphic design that keeps him very active around San Diego, and as a native, has a natural love of surfing and the ocean.
